Taismo: Short StoryCosmo was busy vacuuming the house and tidying up. She hasnt seen Tails since the morning, so she assumed he was still working in his workshop. When she finished up cleaning the house, she decided to go and see how hes doing.
When she entered the workshop, she didnt find Tails working on his projects like he normally does, he was sitting at his desk with his right elbow on the desktop, and his head resting on his hand. His left hand was resting on his lap.
When Tails heard Cosmos voice, he slowly turned to look at her, then turned back to look at the wall with a sigh. She knew something was wrong, he didnt seem like himself; he seemed depressed.
Cosmo approached Tails with concern as she put her hand on his shoulder.
Tails, whats the matter?
Cosmo, I I dont want to talk about it. Tails sighed.
Oh come on, tell me She said in a gentle voice, caressing his back, Whats
Taismo- Greengate :: ch 11Cosmo searched for Tails under the charred rubble for awhile now; her heart shattered, her eyes spilling her tears.
Where are you ?! Cosmo choked and fell to her knees and cried into her palms, Its not fair
Cosmo Earthia sighed as she watched her digging through the pile, Im sorry. You need to accept it. Tails isnt coming back
No Cosmo sobbed, Dont say that
Hes under here somewhere! Cosmo cried and continued lifting boards from the pile one after the other, throwing them to the side.
She continued on searching for him, until she lifted a flat board off of the pile where she found Tails head sticking out of the rubble; his eyes closed, the rest of his body buried.
T-Tails?? Cosmo sobbed and brushed off his dirty muzzle that was covered in black ashes. Come here quick!! She shrieked to he
Taismo- Greengate :: ch 3Late that night when all was at slumber, Tails flew down into the wide city below. He had no idea where he had crashed, and he couldnt go back to Cosmo to ask her where she exactly found him. He figured that if he could find his trashed X-Tornado he would be able to fix it and leave Greengate.
She said I crashed in a park Tails said to himself as he landed on the streets below. He looked around him at the wide city, dark from the night, and began walking down the street. All that was on his mind was his fears of what could happen to him here.
Since I have no idea where that park is, theres no chance that I will find the X-Tornado My only chance is to find materials from around the city to build a new space craft from scratch Tails let out a sigh, Without being caught
Tails began scavenging in garbage bins and alleys for metallic materials. He was having a hard time finding anything useful. For hours during th
Taismo- Greengate :: ch 9Throughout the next day, Tails had been working on fixing his X-Tornado. It was hard for him to focus on what he was doing
Tails, why do you look so upset? Cosmo wondered trying to cheer him up, Youre almost finished. Youll be ready to go home today! Isnt that wonderful, Tails?
Tails let out a long sigh, Yeah I suppose
Aw, come on, Tails. Whats wrong? Cosmo gently placed her right arm over his shoulders.
Im fine, Cosmo Tails said as he carefully pulled away and went back to working on the X-Tornado. Galaxina sighed and sat down; she felt bad for what Tails was going through.
Galaxina? Cosmo noticed Galaxinas depressed action, Do you know whats wrong with Tails?
Galaxina looked up at Cosmo, then she looked back down and shook her head. No, I dont know Galaxina moped. She would tell her, but she promised
Taismo- Greengate :: ch 8The next morning when everyone in the hideout woke up, they all sat around together and ate some fruits and vegetables for their breakfast. Galaxina was sitting across from Tails and Cosmo, who were sitting fairly close to each other.
My, Tails, youre eating quickly. Cosmo giggled.
Oh, yeah. Tails gulped down his food, Id like to get back to fixing the X-Tornado soon. The sooner I get back to work on it, the sooner Ill get the job done.
Youre funny. Cosmo giggled some more.
I am? Tails shrugged. Cosmo nodded with a cute smile. They looked over at Galaxina noticing her snickering again.
Whats so funny? Cosmo frowned.
Nothing, nothing Galaxina waved it off.
Tails rolled his eyes and continued eating his cucumber.
Tails finished eating and stood up with a stretch, Well, I should get back to the X-Tornado
Okay, Tails. Cosmo stood up to follow
MercyOh sweet God how the grassland
ignites in moonlight tonight
I must thank you for creating
her tangled fingers' slow pace
through the handsome rain Her
trochaic kinesthesia to rhythms
in Stravinsky's The Rite of
Spring Is this how you meant
for us to love you Yahweh
Tumbling clumsily down hills
of sheets into perpetually
immutable silence I could love
you like that I think I've been
practicing on this Savanna
for days and months Lost in
her crystal canvas Rolling crests
and troughs And when she touches
me Oh fair Lord I'm dragged into
your city past Gethsemane's
pulsing green and gold
Please hold us together
under this luminous stretch
Oh Father We are live
unclothed Our reflections awash
with the skin of your sun
Blood BrothersBrookie always holds my hand when we cross the street. She's never given a reason for it, she just does it. It's become this unspoken rule with us that whenever we cross the street together, she slips her hand in mine and I lace my fingers through hers and we walk hand-in-hand until we reach the other side and she drops her hand and we both wipe our palms on our jeans. Brookie's a little scared of crossing the street. Her poppa died in a car crash when we were six. He was a pedestrian. She's never gotten over it.
Brookie is my best friend going on sixteen years now, which is pretty impressive considering we're both sixteen. We don't have some cute little story about how we were born in the same hospital on the same day or about how our mothers were best friends long before they were pregnant with us and somehow passed on that bond while we were still in utero. No, Brookie and I met the same way ever
